Elizabeth A. Cominolli, Esq.

Prior to co-founding Markert & Cominolli PLLC, Elizabeth (Liz) was a partner at a large law firm with offices throughout the Northeastern U.S. where she served most recently as the Branding, Trademark, and Copyright practice area co-chair. Liz began her legal career as in-house counsel for a global telecommunications manufacturer managing the company’s trademark and copyright portfolios and advising on a variety of intellectual property and corporate transactional matters.
Liz is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and Le Moyne College where she majored in Business Administration. Liz is admitted to the New York State bar and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
Outside of the office, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and seeking out new and exciting cuisines. Much like Katie, Liz is a self-proclaimed beauty and skincare product “junkie” and brand nerd.
Katherine A. Markert, Esq.

Following over a decade of experience providing legal services in a variety of environments from in-house to mid and large size law firms Katherine (Katie) co-founded Markert & Cominolli PLLC.
Katie works with a diverse base of clients to provide practical legal advice. Katie’s experience involves the management of worldwide trademark portfolios for different industries including alcoholic beverage manufacturers and medical device manufacturers. Katie regularly assists clients with enforcing trademark rights including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial & Appeal Board.
Katie is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Northeastern University where she majored in Communications with a concentration in Organizational Communications. Katie is admitted to the New York State bar, U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
When Katie takes off her attorney hat, you can find her spending time with family, listening to true crime podcasts, reading psychological thrillers, supporting a newly discovered skin care/make-up brand, or planning the next family vacation.
